We had our tree fall over twice this past Christmas. This caused several ornaments to break. Many of these are not replaceable (they were special gifts). So I decided to find the biggest/sturdiest tree stand I could find. That led me to this stand.
After getting the stand we put the tree up (again) in about a minute. The tree didn't move again for 2 weeks. It was worth the extra money for me. I'm actually looking forward to using it next Christmas.

I have vivid memories as a child of my father swearing like a sailor...trying to get the christmas tree to stand up straight and not fall over. It easily took an hour for him to assemble the stand,place the tree on it and then argue with my mother over the fact that the tree wasnt straight! What a nightmare.
I bought this stand 3 years ago and I must say I'm sure its saving marriages left and right! If my father had this stand, it is likely he would have stayed with my mother (well maybe... I tend to be overly optimistic). I am a 5'6 female who lives by herself. I can honestly say that for the past 3 years I have put up the tree all by myself with no ones assistance! No jokes. I get a 8 foot tree every year. All I have to do is put the tree inside the Krimmer,straighten the tree the way I like it, and then crank the handle with my foot until it tightens itself around the tree stump. This whole process takes about 45 seconds...and I am not joking! The person who made this must be making millions... This is a great investment and you'll have it for years.

We cut our Christmas trees from the forest every year, and so the trunks are not very uniform. We've always had trouble keeping our tree upright until now! This product does what it says it will do and is easy to use.

This is the best stand I have ever used. We had a 7' Douglas fir this year. Dropped the tree on the pin, wife gave directions to get it straight, pumped the foot pedal a few times, voila, all done. Water reservoir never required refilling in the 10 days we had the tree up. Take down: release the lock, hold the tree, lift the foot pedal, instant release, remove tree. Nothing could be simpler. Instructions say not to trust a thick carpet for stability, so I put a 3x3 foot piece of plywood under it and it was rock steady. It's a little expensive and a little heavy, especially when filled with water, but is extremely well made and should last for many years.

Every year my husband and I would exchange nasty words when putting up our Christmas tree. I would complain that the tree wasn't straight and he'd be down on the floor AGAIN unscrewing and rescrewing trying to get the screws at just the right spot on the trunk to make the tree straight and steady. We had tried several different types over the years and no one was better than the other. Last year, I decided to Google "best Christmas tree stand" and found the Krinner, Genie Tree Stand.
